Biography:
Benjamin "Ben" Grimm, also known as Thing, is a fictional superhero appearing in Marvel Comics. He's a founding member of the Fantastic Four. Before his transformation, Ben was a skilled pilot and college football star at State University, where he befriended Reed Richards.
Grimm's life changed irrevocably during an unsanctioned experimental space flight piloted by Richards. Cosmic radiation bombarded the spacecraft, transforming Ben into a grotesque, rock-like humanoid with immense strength and durability. He retained his personality but struggled to accept his appearance.
As Thing, Ben possesses superhuman strength, stamina, and near invulnerability. His rocky hide is resistant to extreme temperatures, impacts, and even some forms of energy attacks. Though sometimes melancholic about his condition, he remains a loyal friend and teammate, often providing the muscle and dry humor for the Fantastic Four.
